Bay of Plenty Farm Day Information
Noel and Marilyn are equity partners with their son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Robyn McLeod. They milk 400 cows through a 29 a-side herringbone shed from mid July to May. Noel McLeod arrived on this farm in 1971 as a 39 percent sharemilker and bought the herd and machinery 15 months later to go 50:50 sharemilking. In 1977 the opportunity arose to buy the farm. In 2001 Robyn and Andrew started a similar process and are on their way to farm ownership.
