Powburn Show And Sheep Dog Trials Information
Powburn Show is held on the first Saturday in August each year, starting the local annual show season. The show includes an Industrial tent with entry classes for horticulture, cookery, handicrafts and children’s classes. In addition there is the sheep section, sheepdog trials, dog show, pony sports and jumping. There is something for everyone, children’s sports and entertainment, car boot, traders selling their wares. Added attractions are The Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling and the Hill race draws a lot of visitors from other parts of the country.
